Li-Ly Chang, piano


Li-Ly Chang, born in Taipei, Taiwan Republic of China, started playing piano at the age of eight. Her continued dedication and practicing won her both the Taipei City Piano Competition and the National Competition in Taiwan in 1975. Since coming to the United States she has been a prize winner twice in the International Piano Recording Competition and has received other achievement awards. Miss Chang attended West Texas State University, University of Kansas, and the Peabody Conservatory of Music. In 1983, Miss Chang made her Carnegie Hall debut. She has been participating in the American Landmark Festivals in New York City and in the Res Musica Baltimore series at the Baltimore Museum of Art. Miss Chang is currently involved in two recording projects for a leading record label to be released this spring.
