Kenneth Goldstein, violin

Kenneth Goldstein has been a frequent performer in Baltimore since he joined the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra in 1980, after receiving his Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University, where he studied with Josef Gingold and Franco Gulli. Mr. Goldstein has served as concertmaster of several orchestras, including those of the Aspen and Spoleto festivals, and at the Indiana University where he was also an assistant instructor.

In 1983, Mr. Goldstein was a winner of the St. John's Concert Artist Guild Competition, which sponsored his Baltimore debut recital. That year he also performed the Beethoven Concerto with the Shenandoah Conservatory Orchestra in West Virginia. In 1984, he appeared on the "Young Artist Concert" of the Festival Chamber Players in Baltimore, thereafter becoming a regular member of the group. Mr. Goldstein has appeared as a soloist with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra in performances of Saint-Saëns' "Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso," the Chausson "Poeme," and the Mendelssohn Concerto.
