Monica Reinagel, mezzo-soprano
Mezzo-soprano Monica Reinagel has performed as a soloist with choral and orchestral groups around the U.S. and Germany, including local performances with the Baltimore Choral Arts Society, Handel Choir, and Washington Bach Consort. Ms. Reinagel’s operatic appearances include over three dozen principal roles with companies such as the Baltimore Opera, Ohio Light Opera, Maryland Lyric Opera, Triangle Opera, and Smithsonian Institution. She has also created leading roles for the world premieres of three new American operas. Ms. Reinagel studied voice and opera at Boston University, the Musikhochschule in Munich, Germany, and the Peabody Institute. She is a winner of the Richard Wagner Verein Prize and Scholarship and was a Regional Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Auditions.
