Judith Lang Zaimont, composer

Judith Lang Zaimont is a prize-winning composer and a faculty member at the Peabody Conservatory of Music. Among her awards are a Guggenheim Fellowship in music composition, a composer Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, and Woodrow Wilson and Debussy Fellowships in composition. Many of her works are recorded and published and have been performed in Europe and Australia as well as in the United States. She is the coeditor of Contemporary Concert Music by Women (Greenwood, 1981) and is editor-in-chief of The Musical Woman: An International Perspective (Greenwood, 1984).
