A few years back, I ran into this graphic which neatly encapsulated many of the functions that smartphones replaced.

To this one could add specialized items like metronomes and more.

Although I found or downloaded this image in January 2015, I had previously never looked into the logo at the bottom. Apparently this is for absoluteradio.co.uk/80s/, a British streaming radio station (which has various channels for different decades). So it must have simply been an ad for them (albeit cleverly done).
