Digitized 8mm Home Movies of Michael Friedlander's Physics-related trips

In the spring and summer of 2019, I arranged for many reels of 8mm film (and two 16mm reels) to be converted to digital. For the best possible quality, these were scanned frame-by-frame and saved as 4:3 aspect ratio in a 16:9 FullHD (1920x1080 pixel) format, saved as uncompressed .MOV files. The work was performed very ably by Photo-60 Studio, Woodbridge, VA. These, in turn, were compressed by Handbrake at "SuperHQ 1080p30" levels, before being uploaded to YouTube.

Once the video appears, hit the square bracket icon in the lower right to make it full screen. Then hit the "Esc" escape to get out of full-screen mode.

The captions are above each embedded movie.
