Jessica's longtime involvement with the Association for the Education of Young Children (AEYC) is described on the Teaching elsewhere on this site. In 1990 she was recognized with the AEYC-Missouri Outstanding Service Award.

Similarly, the Ethical Society of St. Louis' Ethical Weekly mentioned the award on page 2 (this was for the entire society, not just the nursery school).
In 1991 Jessica was selected for the Emerson Electric Excellence in Teaching award ("recognizing excellence where it matters most, leading the classroom").

Other recognition
Her congregation Bais Abraham's Women's Tefilah Group recognized her with a "Mother of the Year" award in 2008 and a Kallah Torah award in 2014, both of which are described here on this site.
Posthumously, in August 2025, Bais Abe dedicated and named their garden in her memory.
